Empowering Legal Minds Through the Power of Running.
Growing up I would never really consider myself a runner. I ran “poles” for varsity baseball which was foul pole to foul pole. I ran “suicides” for football. And I ran the “turkey trot” every Thanksgiving as part of my high school tradition. But I never ran for fun or because “I needed it.”
However, during law school I discovered the Nike Run Club app and re-discovered it again after practicing law for so many years. Through the guided runs, I’ve learned just as much about life as I have running.
I created this Non-Profit – Running For The Law (not from) – to encourage other legal professionals to make time during the work week (I choose lunch usually) to step away from the desk and get a run in – or whatever other exercise you choose – in order to become the best version of “you” for yourself, family, and clients.
One of my favorite phrases from the guided runs is: “This is about running and it’s not about running.” It’s about life.
As a legal professional in an adversarial system, I would bet dollars to donuts that you’ve been bumped on the nose or knocked on the chin a few times. If this is true for you, I encourage you to join “Running for the Law” and support its efforts. Learn more about George >
